1990 and The Black & White Summer Ball Framed Print A3 Edition of 50

£140.00

1990

New Year’s Eve party, Brixton Academy, London SW9.

Nicky holloway’s countdown to a new decade helped along by a strong DJ lineup.

Originally: Minimalist, two-colour artwork on satin A5 size card. Found the robots in a comic and re drew adding the hearts. Copy digitally typeset in a retro font. Handrawn hearts and crosses which appeared again on the next ‘KAOS’ weekender flyer. Nice and crisp overall design.

The Black & White Summer Ball

Circa 1990 Brixton Academy, London SW9.

Another big bash with another impressive who’s who line up of DJs from Mr Holloway.

Originally: B&W sharp minimal similar style to ‘1990’ too much text to ‘rub down’ had it digitally typeset in a 60’s retro font, black on white and also in negative and spliced it together; printed on satin A5 card.

Giclee print on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Paper.

Edition of 50.

Please note, all prints are produced digitally using high-resolution scans from original flyers. These however, were produced using pre-digital processes. Whilst care has been taken to ‘clean up’ various imperfections, the original quality has been retains thus lettering/text is not always ‘pin-sharp’.
